Darrell, host of ‘Exploration of the Occult and Paranormal with Darrell,’ live streams the unboxing of a cursed object.
Statement from Filmmaker
The legendary Emmy Award winning comedian and actor Louie Anderson selected the script for this film in a Minnesota-based competition, and he had arranged to star in the lead role. Unfortunately, the Covid-19 pandemic put the project on hold, and he tragically died in January of 2022. Louie’s friend and protégé, Jason Schommer, performed the role of Darrell in honor of Louie’s memory. In addition to Louie’s unique brand of humor, this comedic short was inspired by pseudo-documentary shows such as “Ghost Hunters,” YouTube unboxing videos, and niche paranormal subcultures. This film is meant to be fun and funny – I hope you enjoy it!
